Nestlng in a super rustic village location, this is a delightful cottage offering very comfortable accommodation. The property was refurbished recently, and boasts a new and comprehensively fitted kitchen/breakfast room with under floor heating. There is also a very cosy sitting room on the ground floor. On the first floor, both the bedrooms are double rooms, the principle bedroom having built in wardrobes, and the second bedroom has twin single beds. The modern bathroom has a tasetefully fitted suite with bath and shower over. Outside there is a pretty shared courtyard, and there are two allocated parking spaces to the front. Facilities include a television (Freeview), DVD player, barbecue, and garden table and chairs. In the kitchen the fittings include a fitted dishwasher, washing machine, built in oven and hob, fridge/freezer and microwave, as well as the usual goods such as a kettle and toaster. It is ideal for either a small family or couple, or indeed two couples sharing, and is available for either short or longer term breaks.
There are so many things to do and so many places to visit, you will be spoilt for choice! The internationally renowned Goodwood motor racing circuit is situated within half a mile or so, and the Goodwood racecourse is approximately 1 1/2 miles away. Our sporting and social calendar can be accessed via our website, www.pallantholidays.co.uk and this includes all the dates for races at the race course and also the motor racing events. Goodwood also boasts two golf courses, also within a few minutes' drive, and just up the road, within a couple of minutes' walk, is The Royal Oak public house/restaurant, offering excellent food and a pleasant garden to sit in. The Earl of March also offers food of the highest quality, and is also in the village. For keen walkers there is stunning countryside surrounding the village, and a favourite local landmark, Seven Points, which is a very good vantage point from which there are panoramic views, is accessed up Chalkpit Lane, just up the road from the cottage.
The beautiful and historic city of Chichester, with its world famous cathedral, is only just over two miles away. Along with a very varied shopping centre, and good parking facilities, it offers the renowned Festival Theatre with stars from all over the world appearing in productions all year round.
In addition to the beauitiful surrounding countryside, the area is blessed with some of the finest beaches in Southern England. The sandy beach at West Wittering attracts visitors all year round, but particularly in the summer months, and there are several famous sailing villages nearby, such as Bosham and Itchenor. Cowes Week is also an immensely popular event, and ferries from Portsmouth, approximately 15 miles away, can take you to the Isle of Wight. Other events and places to visit include the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum in Singleton, which is only a few miles away, polo at Cowdray in Midhurst (about 10 miles to the north), and the annual Arundel Festival.
