It has an open plan kitchen/bed-sitting area, off which there is a ground floor shower room. The kitchen area includes an electric cooker, microwave, and the usual sundries (eg kettle, toaster etc), and there is a laundry room available for the use of guests. The bed-sitting area includes a double bed, television (Freeview), and DVD player. There is also a most unusual mezzanine area which houses a single bed, so the property can accommodate three people (there is a stairgate type door for the mezzanine area).

This property is absolutely ideal for visitors seeking peace and quiet, without wanting to be too remote. There is lots to do in the local area and although the property is compact, it has a very cosy and welcoming feel. There is ample parking outside and visitors are allowed use of the garden. It has attracted visitors from all over the world, many of whom return year after year. There is flexibility on bookings, with both short stays and longer breaks (eg two weeks or more) possible. The standard changeover day for weekly breaks is Saturday. Upon arrival, the owners will provide a small welcome pack for visitors. All services, such as heating/rates, are included.
The Hovel is situated in a wonderful location, easily accessible to the nearby town of Billingshurst (only 1 1/2 miles away) and Horsham which lies a few miles to the north of Billingshurst. They both have mainline stations to London (Victoria), and there are good road links to Gatwick airport. There is a lot to do in the area and if you have children interested in animals, then the well known attraction of Fisher's Farm, which is situated within walking distance, will undoubtedly appeal. The farm has a variety of different animals as well as lots of activities. Also within a very short walk is The Bat & Ball public house which serves good food all year round.

Other attractions include Arundel Castle, which lies in the beautiful town of Arundel, only about 11 miles away. Arundel boasts a selection of eclectic shops and restaurants, and attracts tourists from all over the world. The River Arun runs through it, and Arundel also has an annual festival, as well as a Wildfowl and Wetland Centre.. Horsham has a good shopping centre, and the Cathedral city of Chichester is about 40 minutes' drive. Along with the beautiful shopping centre and cathedral, it also has the Festival Theatre, at which many international stars perform year on year. The coast is less than an hours' drive and boasts some of the best beaches in Southern England. There is excellent sailing at several villages, including Bosham and Itchenor which lie just outside Chichester. Brighton is about 45 minutes' drive, where you can stroll around the famous "Lanes" or take a walk along the promenade and visit some of the excellent restaurants and shops.

Parham House and Gardens is a beautiful, tranquil place to visit and lies just outside Storrington. Both Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens and Nymans Gardens are within easy driving distance, lying to the south - east of Horsham, making for a wonderful day out. Goodwood House is a popular attraction and the horse racing there and at Fontwell are two of the highlights of the summer. The Goodwood Festival of Speed and Revival Meeting have become traditional events, synonymous with the history of Goodwood itself.
