Millstones is a very unusual and attractive ground floor apartment converted from a period mill. It is set in the grounds of a fine period house and isone of five units which are available to let by the same owner. It has very pleasant rural views, as it backs on to farmland and a golf course just beyond. The accommodation is well presented and comfortable, with all the usual cooking utensils and a television and DVD player included. Guests are encourages to use the lovely communal gardens which include a large barbecue area. There is also a laundry room for the use of the guests.
Some of the best attractions in West Sussex are situated within a fifteen minute drive of this village. There is the sandy beach at West Wittering, only about nine miles away, which is regarded as one of the best beaches in southern England. There is sailing at Chichester Harbour, golf (two courses), and horse racing and motor sport at Goodwood, which is only a few miles from the property. The beautiful cathedral city of Chichester lies less than three miles to the west, and the South Downs lie just to the north.
There are good road links to major towns and cities, with the A27 being within a short drive. Portsmouth lies about 20 miles away and has a ferry port. Southampton Airport is within about 45 minutes' drive. Gatwick Airport is about 50 miles away, and there is a mainline station in Chichester, which is about 3 miles away.
This area enjoys some of the best levels of sunshine in Southern England. It also boasts numerous historical places of interest, such as the Roman Palace at Fishhbourne, the Weald & Downland Open Air Musueum. Goodwood House and Stansted Park are also fascinating places to visit, as is Arundel Castle. Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth has some of the best panoramic views in the south.
