4 Park Lane is a very attractive detached former railway carriage which has been converted to provide very comfortable accommodation only a stone's throw from the beach! The property has been extended and now has a very pleasant modern kitchen and new bathroom, and it has retained many features such as the old sliding carriage doors. It provides an ideal destination for holiday makers requiring a weekend retreat or an extended holiday, either in the spring/summer or winter. It enjoys a sea view, being within a very short distance from the beach - there are some super walks along here, with views towards the Lifeboat Station. The bustling town is also within walking distance. Many of the local restaurants offer freshly caught fish and the property is a super base from which to explore the area.
The beach at Selsey is within view, being literally a thirty second walk from the gate, and there are excellent walks along the beach as well as fishing, for which the village is renowned. There is a good selection of village shops and for more extensive shopping, Chichester lies about nine miles to the north. Selsey has its own golf course and there is very good sailing in the nearby villages of Itchenor and Bosham. The Downs are just to the north of Chichester and the many attractions at Goodwood are within half and hour's drive. These include horse racing and the Revival Meeting along with the Festival of Speed. Chichester also has a world famous Festival Theatre, attracting actors and visitors from all over the world.
