Oak Lodge is a very attractive and well presented lodge style cottage set in the gardens of a house on the edge of the famous Goodwood Estate near Chichester. The lodge sleeps 2 guests very comfortably, but a 3rd guest can be accommodated on a pull-out bed.
Constructed of oak with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, it has great character for a cosy and comfortable cottage. It has an open plan living area which incorporates the sitting room, dining area and kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped and includes a hob, microwave oven, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The living area also has a TV with DVD player and there is WiFi internet access available. The spacious bedroom has a king-size bed with a wardrobe and full length mirror available, as well as a hairdryer and a radio alarm. The shower room is en-suite to the bedroom.
Outside, there is a small garden seating area for guests to use which overlooks the countryside views. There is car parking on the driveway at the front of the property.

Oak Lodge is set on the edge of a small hamlet close to Goodwood and just a few miles from the city of Chichester. The Goodwood Estate is famed for its motor racing and horse racing events held throughout the year, including the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Goodwood Revival and Glorious Goodwood. They also have a very well stocked and supported farm shop selling local and estate produce.
The historic cathedral city of Chichester lies a few miles from Oak Lodge. The city centre offers a wealth of shopping, cafes, restaurants and bars, all set within streets lined with interesting architectural buildings. The Chichester skyline is dominated by its medieval cathedral which dates back over 900 years. A few hundred yard from the centre of the city is the famous Chichester Festival Theatre which puts on wonderful and varied productions throughout the year.
This area of West Sussex also offers fabulous rolling countryside, ideal for exploring on foot or by bicycle. There are also some of the best beaches in the south, including the sandy shore at West Wittering. A little further afield are the cities of Portsmouth to the west and Brighton to the east, both easily accessible by either road or rail. London is also within easy reach with a direct rail service from Chichester to London Victoria. Oak Lodge really is an ideal location for exploring this wonderful part of the country or for just a quiet retreat in the countryside.
